Terms and Conditions

Last updated: August 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions explain how tuition is arranged and delivered by The 11 Plus and Beyond Academy. They apply once a parent or carer accepts an offered place and confirms enrolment.

The 11 Plus and Beyond Academy provides supportive, structured tuition for children and young people. Our aim is to help every student feel valued, develop confidence and make meaningful academic progress.

2. Enquiries and Securing a Place

Submitting an enquiry does not automatically secure a tuition place. We will contact you to discuss your child’s needs, explain the most suitable programme and confirm availability.

A place is only secured when the Academy has confirmed it directly with the parent or carer and any agreed registration or payment requirements have been completed.

3. Our Tuition Programmes

We provide:

  • 11+ preparation for children in Years 3, 4 and 5
  • KS3 booster sessions
  • GCSE Maths and English tuition
  • Assessments and targeted intervention sessions where appropriate

Tuition may be delivered in small groups or through individual support. The subjects covered, session frequency and recommended programme will be discussed before tuition begins.

Teaching may be adapted in response to assessment information, progress and the student’s individual learning needs.

4. Assessments, Feedback and Intervention

Students may complete regular assessments so that strengths, misconceptions and gaps in knowledge can be identified.

Parents and carers will receive appropriate feedback about progress and recommended next steps. Where additional support is needed, the Academy may recommend targeted intervention sessions. No additional paid session will be arranged without prior agreement.

5. Fees and Payment

Tuition fees and payment arrangements will be explained and agreed before enrolment. Payment information will be confirmed directly with parents and carers.

Fees are normally payable in advance unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed. The Academy may review its fees and will provide reasonable notice before any changes take effect.

6. Attendance and Missed Sessions

Regular attendance and punctuality are important because they support continuity, confidence and academic progress.

If a student cannot attend, parents and carers should notify the Academy as soon as possible. Sessions missed because of illness, holidays or other personal commitments may not be refunded or rearranged, particularly where a small-group place has been reserved.

Exceptional circumstances will be considered fairly and individually.

7. Withdrawing from Tuition

Parents and carers wishing to withdraw a student from an ongoing programme should provide reasonable written notice.

Any refund or credit relating to fees paid in advance will be considered according to the notice given, the sessions already delivered and any teaching time or resources that have been reserved.

8. Changes or Cancellations by the Academy

The Academy may occasionally need to change a session time, teaching room, tutor, programme content or method of delivery.

Reasonable notice will be provided wherever possible. If the Academy cancels a session, an alternative session, account credit or appropriate refund will be offered.

9. Safeguarding and Student Wellbeing

The safety and wellbeing of every child and young person are central to our work. Tutors working with children will be appropriately vetted, including enhanced DBS checks where required.

Parents and carers must provide accurate emergency contact information and disclose any medical conditions, allergies, disabilities or learning needs that may affect their child’s participation.

Any safeguarding concern will be managed appropriately and may be shared with the relevant safeguarding professionals or statutory services where necessary.

10. Behaviour and the Learning Environment

The Academy is committed to providing a safe, welcoming and respectful place where students can ask questions, make mistakes and take appropriate learning risks.

Students are expected to behave respectfully towards tutors and other learners. Bullying, discrimination, threatening behaviour, deliberate disruption or unsafe conduct will not be accepted.

Where concerns arise, we will normally discuss them with the parent or carer. Tuition may be suspended or ended if behaviour creates a serious risk or repeatedly affects the learning of others.

11. Learning Materials

Worksheets, assessments, teaching resources and other materials supplied by the Academy are for the enrolled student’s personal educational use.

These materials must not be copied, sold, uploaded, distributed or used to teach others without written permission from The 11 Plus and Beyond Academy.

12. Progress and Examination Outcomes

We are committed to providing carefully planned tuition, regular feedback and appropriate support. However, we cannot guarantee a particular examination grade, 11+ result or school place.

Outcomes depend on several factors, including attendance, effort, completion of practice work, confidence, individual circumstances and performance on the day.

13. Photography and Recordings

Students, parents and carers must not photograph or record tuition sessions, tutors or other students without prior permission.

The Academy will not use a student’s photograph, work, recording or identifiable testimonial for publicity without separate permission from the parent or carer.

14. Personal Information

Personal information will be used only where necessary to manage enquiries, enrol students, provide tuition, monitor progress, process payments, communicate with families and meet safeguarding responsibilities.

Further information about how personal data is collected, stored and used will be provided in the Academy’s Privacy Notice.

15. Use of the Website

Information on the website is provided in good faith. Programme availability, session times and fees are only confirmed when a tuition place is formally offered.

Website content, branding and resources must not be copied or reproduced without permission. Links to external websites are provided for convenience, and the Academy is not responsible for external content or availability.

16. Updates to These Terms

These Terms and Conditions may be updated to reflect changes to the Academy’s services or operating arrangements.

The most recent version and update date will be displayed on the website. Parents and carers will receive reasonable notice if a significant change affects an existing tuition arrangement.
